ls1 rookie

hello everybody im new here,and have been an old school muscle car guy for the past 15 years.my current cars are a 78 z28 with 598 bbc pumpgas motor that runs 9.40s and a 98 z28 with 408 ls1 with stage 3 prc cnc ported z06 vette heads texas monster cam and fast intake and throttle body.anyways my question is there anyway to run a carburator on a ls1 and still have it pass nys inspection. i have heard theres a company out there making dummy boxes with a dlc connector that fools the inpection station that your still running all the original equipment.
