cops in ma can they LEGALLY do this...
never had a problem like this before in all the 5 years of having my car the way it is... doing nothing wrong at all i ran into the BIGGEST ******* of all state troopers... long story short he acted as an inspection station and gave me a "roadside inspection" made me go through high beams blinkers tire tread depth check even had me pop my hood.... long story short he wrote me a ticket for all my violations and took out his knife and scraped off my valid inspection sticker and told me to get the car fixed its not road worthy.... when there are cars falling apart sounding like *** driving by...
question is can they legally rip off someone inspection sticker if its valid for the current year when they are NOT a licensed inspection station??? he said my tires were bald too but theyre drag radials and run a little lower on tread brand new....

Not sure about MA but it PA a cop can write you a fine or "fix it" ticket for any inspection violation at anytime however they have no right to remove the sticker.
Like in PA if a car has the wind shield replaced we can issue a replacement sticker (that has the same dates as the old stickers) even if the car is in failing condition. The sticker is good for 1 year regardless but the cop can fine you for a violation or right a "fix it" ticket

How many things he get you for ???
I used to have a 74 Blazer with 6-8" lift on 38's...got a lot of "fix it tickets" but never pulled my sticker. He got smart after a while and hit me with "materially altering vehicle after inspection" (max fine was 2 years jail time and $1000)

ya if i get the chance to transfer and find a house elsewhere preferably NC ill hop right on that....im sick of mass liberals and ******* cops... there are some really cool cops who appreciate the hot rod scene if youre not an idiot but the ******** just ruin everything... either way im gettin my new sticker tomorrow with full exhaust/cats and pictures of everything so when i go fight this ticket i can explain how rude the cop was towards me how he singled me out over a bunch of other cars and how i have everything legal on my car...
oh and that area was kelly square in worcester...mind you ive NEVER had any problems in worcester or any city for that matter cause usually all the cops know im not an idiot and let me be...

They absolutley have the right to remove the sticker. I've even heard of them removing license plates in the OWNERS yard.
Also, the law states that ANY modification to items such as exhaust must remain OE stock. So even 50 state legal items are technically not legal according to the law.
Though you definately got singled out and it's shitty, be carefull of what you say and don't say in court.
