what are the limitations of making the car "collector". like, can you only drive it on weekends, certain miles etc...?

What did you provide to the state to prove it was rare enough to be a collector car?
I want to register mine as a collector car as well soon. Unfortunately it became my daily driver for the next couple of months now until my new truck comes in.

You need the Inspection Report they gave you from your last inspection that shows the mileage. If you didn't get one (like me!) or lost it, njmvc.gov has a tab now where you can print out your last inspection report.

you dont get a report since its only a mileage check. i just tried that site and it came up when i was inspected back in 05

can I ask what phone # or department at GM you called? Did they produce a letter or just the production documentation on the car?

i talked w/ a guy from india too.
my letter has my vin # and w/ how many TAs were made in 2000 and it says that "this correspondence serves as a Letter of Authenticity for your GM vehicle.
just speak clearly when talking to them so that they can relay the message properly to detroit
