Hey sunshine I dont think they will be prepping the track for this event... Its the same rental setup as the corvette rental. Cecil gives the first 60` after that its up to club to pay for the rest... This discussion was takin up with that Haulsey guy down there in the past.

No idea about the details/specifics of any Corvette rentals or what they ask/pay for, but every SuperStallion.com rental since 1999 has always had the track prepped. Anyone who's ever been to one, and gotten there before racing started, can watch/smell the VHT being sprayed onto the entire length of the track.

Definitely agree with nhra_crazy though about a shitload of LS1tech members being cursed at these events...of course RAIN all morning on the day of the event never helps breakage....right Mike? I was going to run my Harley for ***** & giggles, but not chancing the LS1tech curse...lol.

BTW, last I heard, there was like 50 spots left, to be sold at the gate, but there's ALWAYS someone selling their spot(s) on the superstallions site.

NO comparison, whether it be a regular Saturday T&T, or a private rental deal. Fridays flat out suck ***. **** sitting in line for an hour or more to make 1 pass.

If there's minimal oil downs/breakage/wrecks then you can make a buttload of runs and actually TEST AND TUNE your car.

My personal record there is 23 passes, 2 years ago, lol.

I think I remember that day we were running 1/8 and yes they only prepped the first 60'... Spoken from experience and visually being there nothing else... Had I gotten what I thought I paid for I dont think the car would have gotten beyond the 60' mark and lost traction causing lots of spinning and wheel hop. And then bang.. I know its my fault because I knew and saw they were not prepping the track but hell I paid 55.00 bucks had to atleast try there were no refunds being given out.

Re3ld I think you have to agree with the prep that day... After all we did pay for prep that day didnt we?

Mike, like I have said all along...last year just plain old sucked due to it raining all morning long. NOBODY wants to pay ($55 or any amount) to race at a quarter mile track, and have shitty track conditions and only eighth mile racing.

The track was indeed originally sprayed from end to end first thing in the morning, and it always has been, always will be. As everyone kept sliding around and spinning, they tried numerous times to spray just the concrete starting pad, which as we all know, did not work very well for a lot of people.

I felt all along that on that particular day it should have been postponed. Unfortunately, like I've also said all along, that decision isn't/wasn't ever up to anyone other than Cecil County Dragway management.

FWIW, I've attended every (twice a year) event since 1999, but have not been since last year's race day...I never agreed with being forced to race on a shitty day, with a shitty track, but Cecil's not ever going to turn down what amounts to about a $10,000+ day for them.

Because I felt somewhat responsible for (both yours and other) people's unhappiness since I posted it on here, I've decided that I was also done with the SuperStallion rentals myself, and that's also why I never posted any info about it here or anywhere else.
