Default Shops in Northeast Pennsylvania

Well I just moved back up to NEPA. Brought a 99 Silverado with me from FL, problem is, it has peg leg syndrome.

I picked up the locking diff. though, and it came with 3.73s. I'm looking for a shop that can put the differential in. Any place close by? I'm about 45 minutes north of Scranton.

Or are there any members close to here with the know how?

Thanks!

Well looks like I have an appointment with SST Performance in Honesdale for Monday. Anyone ever had any work done there?

Hell are there any members around me?

It was ok, I guess I had a streak of bad luck. I could have just had the local parts place snag me a rear with a locker in it already for $650 and I would have just had to switch my brake parts over.

Instead it ran me around $800 in parts/labor I wasn't expecting due to a pitted axle in my current rear, them wanting to thoroughly clean the locker, etc... So going the route I did ran me $500 extra over just swinging for the axle... Oh well live and learn. And then the FSC guys couldn't believe I was $1000+ into this fiasco now just to have a stock G80 locker. ($150 for the used locker/gears+$100 install kit+$800ish parts/labor unexpected issues) Originally was going to be around $200-400 labor. Oops!

Rear axle doesn't make any racket though, so the job was done right, I just wasn't very lucky.

Where are you at scottyroc? I'm in Pleasant Mount.

You would have some better luck finding folks closer to you if you check the nepa street racing messageboard.
