01 Z06 "Old Man Cam" results
This is a 2001 Z06 with stock manifolds and cats (no headers). 44,000 miles on the clock. Cam is a new "old man" grind. Idles and drives exactly like stock. I told the customer he would see maybe 390 out of it. We were pleasantly surprised Just as a reference, our Dominator 2 cam did 443 rwhp on an 04 Z06 with headers. Not to bad for a baby cam and stock manifolds.

I spent ALL DAY yesterday driving my new 'Old Man Cam' n Tuned by Mike. After writing this I will be on the road again to enjoy this Beautiful 2001 "sleeper" Zo6. I gave Mike a call to talk about what I wanted n didn't want from my C5 Zo6. This is the 3rd time I had RapidMotorSports n Mike install n Tune my cars. I owned a 02 FireHawk Trans-Am that ran Fanfreakingtastic with Mikes Installs n Tunes. I also belonged to an F-Body car club n I've seen time after time from other members Mikes Custom Tunes. I'm 1 1/2hrs away n there's no doubt who I Trust with my Baby's Installs n Custom Tunes. Give him a call, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Yeah I'm thinking with Headers and Mike's Tune I'll be in the 450rwhp range....but first things first and now I'm looking into upgrading clutch and brakes before anything else. lol. Old Man's Cam with Mikey's Tune.....Idles stock like at 800rpm's. The exhaust has come alive but is not obnoxious during cruising. At WOT is another story. Also because of Mike's tuning I am actually getting better gas mileage then I was before Cam and Tune...... with this new found power. Highway driving cruising at 70mph I got 28.8mpg!!! I'll take it in a 420/406 rwhp/rwtq car....however, keeping my right foot out of it is the challenging part now!
