Endless Summer 2k17 LS1tech meet October 7th
Facebook Post
Saturday, October 7 at 2 PM
Roses on 94th street
This meet is becoming a tradition and its always nice to see the cars and meet the owners!
A meet for LSx based and other GM cars and enthusiasts.
Please be respectful, no burnouts, no revving your engine, be mindful of the people around you and don't be jackasses and ruin meets for everyone.
Basic Rules
1. Be respectful of other peoples' cars. Please do not touch a person's car without their consent.
2. No alcohol
3. No scandalous attire (this is a family event).
4. No taking up multiple parking spaces or saving spaces.
5. No Littering.
6. No burnouts or anything stupid.
7. Only park in marked spaces(not on sidewalks or travel lanes)
This is from a past Mays meet.
And some coverage from last october.
REMINDER... Do NOT park directly in front of Roses or the grocery store. Please leave plenty of parking for shoppers in front of the store. Blocking those spots will lead to us being told to leave.

just over a week away, is everyone excited yet?
OCPD seems to be wearing themselves out with the H2O cancelled event this weekend. Hopefully their "impound everything and ticket the rest" mentality doesnt carry over for us.

Do you facebook or instagram? they still sent it, total **** show. Cops hit a pedestrian in a cross walk. Cops try and bust a drug deal and guy flees hitting cops with car and the officers fired at them. Lots of accidents. Someone started a fire on the dunes. A few cars drove on the beach and got stuck. Countless tickets and impounds. Fights all over.

Wow, it seems like they were giving everyone a ticket for just about anything. It will certainly discourage a lot of people from going to future unofficial h2o events, which is why they're doing it Im sure. I sure hope they're not like that with us!

Yeah, I too am hoping they did that because of the cancelled event as a way to send a message. But who knows, time will tell.
I think the age of large car events in OC might be coming to an end. Like the additional money has always had the city turn a blind eye to some fuckery, but the levels of fuckery may be surpassing the moneys ability to turn them.

Another Roses meet - another bootout. Yeah this is fun.
Great turn out though..
Yeah, I agree with CTS...large car shows will come to an end soon. Too many idiots to deal with.
You couldn't pay me enough to be an OC cop - dealing with all the bs from all the different motor events from jeeps / motorcycles / musclecars / muscle idiots...its no wonder they're not strung-out on heroin by this time in the season.
You can bad mouth the OC police all you want....they are there to uphold the law....I did think the cop who showed up and raised the hood on his car was cool....

Yea, I thought the cops down there were pretty cool as long as you didnt do anything stupid.
It sucked getting kicked out of Roses, I was there for like 10 minutes. Other than that I had a great time.

I will be reaching out to the managers at both Roses and ACME before spring. And if possible dealing with the property management as well, they were who the police said made the call.
The officers there before hand were cool with us and even had the one state trooper showing off his caprice.
Here are the wifes photos from LS1tech and other adventures.

Especially for May I think keeping it off the strip will be better than trying to navigate either bridge.
I havent been to the casino much, but would assume without permission we wouldnt last as long there. On reason Roses normally works is its mostly abandoned.

I think the cops do an overall great job down there. While they did break up this show, they did so in a "polite" manner, in my opinion. Had a great time while we were there and saw a ton of awesome cars. I'm more of an EFI/modern horsepower guy so it was nice to be surrounded by cars where it didn't smell like raw fuel

They all had a good time w/o any trouble and left after a three-hour stay.

I used to work in 3 casinos and they all were competitive. The hardest part about a casino is getting people to show up. From there, u know that u can real them in to get them to spend money. People cant resist. Think about all the free **** they giv away to get u into the door. If they saw all those cars outside, they would be like great, 1 out of 5 of those people will walk inside just to check us out. Once inside, 2 out of 3 will put money in. I guarantee it that if you reached out to casino promotions, they would give everyone who brought a car $10 free slot play, in addition to letting us show there.

This would at least ensure us not getting run out. Im still going to see what roses/acme says about May. After that, this or harpoon hannas is next spot to try.
Good to know about them wanting business enough to welcome us with perks of any kind.

Id bet my left nut (not my right) u would never ever ever get kicked out of the casino lot.
