Most of the vehciles ive seen pulled over before today were regular cars or diesel trucks(stacks laws).

I think a LOT of that is the fact that regulars wouldnt know the change was coming and most of the electronic signs only mentioned higher fines not the lower speed limits.

I will say this is my LAST trip to OC or Cruisin. I avoid tickets between luck and being mostly behaved. But regardless there is somehting wrong with what they are doing.

Can you imagine what it would be like if the weather was perfect? The police would have a field day.
After last spring’s bullish!t, they had to do something to get people to finally listen. The show organizer and city officials only want the registered people there and that’s it.
They may finally get their wish. Their loss, not mine.
When all the business owners start squealing that all their revenue went down the crapper during this week in the year they’ll be begging people to come back.
And the whole thing starts all over again.

yea i went out last night and saw a typical lifted diesel, a lexus is300 crossover, and a daily 4 door jeep pulled over. in addition to other car. so yea no one is safe. yea as mentioned, i think they are trying to control the type of crowd by doing this.

sitting at a light waiting to do a u turn. at that section down by 30-35th street where the road running closest to the beach ends and you have to turn right onto coastal. i see an s10 do a quiet 5 second one legger, than this other truck did something on the small side. i make my u turn and do a little "pop" in first gear during the turn. dont think i ever went over 3500 rpms. i get pulled over and given a $70. he was sitting 2 or 3 in line at the light opposite me and i dint see him. afterwards i say "real quick sir, do you think what the city is doing is right....do you agree with it?" officer:"i dont know what your talking about"

me:"the safe zones"
officer:"what safe zones"
me:"the event zone or whatever the increased fines"
officer:"its not up to me if thats what the city wants"
me;"yea but do you think this is necessary or do you agree with it"
officer said something along the lines of its not my call then just went back to his car

he was like an agitated emotionless robot the entire stop. all i wanted was his opinion and he refused to give it. still think it could have been worse than $70

Now let's not blow it.
All we need is a few idiots from "non-LS1 cars" to ruin it for all of us. Believe me, I've seen it happen.
Which begs the question: Who invited them anyway? This is an LS1 Tech meet.....right?
Sorry I'm a wee-bit biased.

Sorry. Wife and I are dog people. So she shoots ours and any others.

Pretty sure lethal shutters coverage should be lretty decent.

And I know there were a lot of non gm cars. But this meet to me is more about the GM based cars than anything else. Hell even the g35 that was there had a ls swap.

Regardless of intent, when you have a successful meet you will attract others looking for a place to show off. The only one who really got to me was the old school yellow pick up. Did a burnout in the lot and I asked him to take it easy leaving and he had to do a pull.

As of now the casino understands that it was just the actions of a few and that “every group has a few”.

Until october.

And you wonder why the OC Government had to create "Special Event Laws".
A$$holes like this moron who decided that this was Woodstock and figured WTF, and I'll leave doing a burnout.
Its the "Richard Craniums" like that that will ruin the last decent place we can get together in OC without the lawman from bugging us.
I guess mommy & daddy never taught this moron anything.

The truck wasn’t a huge burnout. But I don’t think people realize that every little thing was going to be noticed with security on sight the whole time. V
