Default Rearend shop Southern Ny for 4x4 Gear swap

Does anyone know of a good shop that can do a gear swap on new gm 4x4 pickup trucks? Orange county, rockland county or Northern NJ area. A friend and I are both looking for a good shop to do this that knows what there doing with gear swaps. I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 6.2 with 3:23 gears that i would like to change to 3:73 gears.

Thanks Joe

I wouldn't wast time with even 3.73's. I had factory 4.10's and went 4.88's with 35 inch tires. I think those 4.88s would have been great on stock 31's. That's on a 2000 5.3 that is/was porbably a lot more gutless than yours.

Ever consider doing it yourself? I just found some good how to's for the front end when it was time for me. It was kind of a mother ******, but with friends and a lift not terrible. Rear is pretty cake, especially since you don't need to replace all of the bearings etc. I'd recomend ditching that factory locker if you have one while your're in tehre, or putting something in there in general if you're just open.

Agreed I would go straight to. 4.11 or higher especially having the 6 speed trans it will really wake the truck up.

Whats the ratio for 6th gear? My 4l60 is .70 and I literally almost NEVER put the thing in OD with 4.10's and 31's. Again, assuming my 2000 5.3 is much more gutless.

Did you ever find a place you like? I have a local driveline shop that my family has done business with since I was a kid and I am 51 now. They put the Auburn in my AutoX/track day S-10 in the 90's and they redid my axle seal on my 9.5 inch 14 bolt in my Cadillac hearse. They will be getting more business when I get my other 14 bolt to put in my 88 Chevy hearse as I will need a new 2 piece driveshaft.

If you are willing to make the drive to PA there is a good shop I use called Collis Truck parts in Northampton Pa. About 2 hours from Rockland county NY. Place has been around forever.
