Default Checked out one this morning..........

I checked one out this morning: Wow! What a nice car....I think the TA is going bye-bye soon....They already have a supercharger for $4,000 and it puts out 450 HP with the stock setup...Hard to beat that....

Lightbulb

I have no problem with a little Chevy/GM versus Ford rivalry thing going on like it was back in the old days, but when I hear of people hating on Fords (an American car company ) but very accepting of Hondas/Toyotas and the like it really puzzles me. Not saying that anybody does actually hate Fords yet loves the import nameplates just making an observation in general that I hope isn't true or widespread.

Oh and really like the new Mustang but still prefer a fast car over that one.

its looks dont overwhelm me and theyre lacking power.

theyll probably respond ok to bolt ons but most likely theyll need FI to hang with heavily modded ls1s.

my car wont be going anywhere for one of them anytime soon.

slow or not theyre going to sell.

I think you guys are forgetting something. It's a sall CI mod motor. There is no easy H/C swap. A blower = if you want more than 400 RWHP. On the flip side at least Ford is making a RWD V8 for less than 30K.

I saw in a Motor Trend mag today that they tested the 2005 GT & it went 13.6@99.9
Seems to run like a stock LT1 F-Body. I do like the older style gauge look. So what's it got for a rear end, 8.8? I doubt they would put a 9" in it. I like the look of it & of course mod it if I had one anyways-Fred

I saw one run a 13.8 at E-town with only 300 miles on the clock, on a poor prep track, and the stupid balony skin tires they come with. Its a solid car, but should have a few more ponys and CI

I'm not friendless at work by any means.

I'm not the typical mfg. supervisor most are acustomed to that want work, work, work, no talking, no getting up, etc.

I pretty much don't care what my people do, long as they get their work done, & correctly.

I also hang with my people in & out of work.
I've been to numerous peoples houses & parties.
I shoot the **** & joke with them while they are working.
Some of the ladies make me lunches & sometimes they even "make" me eat lunch with them!

And I don't wear a tie.
It's pullover collared shirts with jeans & sometimes T shirts.

Under $25k even, depending on how much restraint you have with the options list. Although '04 GTOs can be obtained for under $27k right now as well, 350hp with IRS RWD.

Yes an 8.8. And no real need to change it out to a 9", those 8.8s are quite strong (or at least can be made to be much stronger), not too far from 12 bolt type strength possibly.
