Default Just heard--11.49 for T-tops = IHRA

Word has just come down (still un-official, but supposedly so) that the IHRA will follow in NHRA's footsteps for the '05 race season, and make the mandatory roll cage rule for T-roof cars at 11.49 and 135 mph....And to think we just went thru this giant pissing contest.....Money talks, and the roll cage walks-----IHRA style!! if the 11.49 is NHRA's rule then its true. Mike Baker at IHRA emailed me and said it was adjusted to the same rule as NHRA. I emailed them and they dropped it to 12.25 without even thinking about it. I got a email today saying it was the same as NHRA's rule now LOL

so its like nothing even happened cause the IHRA rule has always been 11.49 at our local tracks

98TA: I was told that IHRA's phones have been literally ringing off the walls and their computers smoking since they posted the 13.49 T-roof cage rule....Compared to NHRA, IHRA is shaky at best--recognition, sponsorship, and fan base wise, so they basically have no choice but to go along with the NHRA regarding the T-roof cars 11.49 cage rule. I hope this will be offically posted by the IHRA soon, so everyone running a F-body T-roof car can finalize their mod plans for the '05 race season. IMO, This never should have happened.... WJ

Now My goal will be to run less than 11.50 just to be asked not to come back to three more tracks ,lol-Fred

PS-Should equal three days in Feb...

The last time i ran was at e-town @ 2000DA=11.70@118.3&118.9, just imagine 123-4 mph at 1500-2000 below with the same 60'-Fred
