Silver Z06 result's

I know a few people that stopped by wanted to see the result's on this car. Here is the dyno graph with open loop vs closed loop.I was very surprised the car picked up as much as it did.Now we just need to get it to the track to verify the #'s. The best before was 11.2 at 122mph :) Also MPG went from 16 highway(open) to 24 highway(closed) :)

BTW-this is not a negative post.

Notice how rich it is.The Vett'es with Vararams lean out the A/F .6 on the street. The old tune was pulling 3 degree's of KR on the street :)

Noyzee May 24, 2005 08:26 AM

what H/C?
is it ls6 car?
cam, small/large?
ls6 intake i guess?whats the fast 90/90 god for over the ls6? i may be getting one pretty soon.

yes i did notice that it was a little richer ;) down into the 12's as opposed to a little over 13 on the old tuning :emb: bet it drives a little better too other than et streets in this rain :jest:

Interesting results Don...How does the open run on the street as far as idle, and does the car smell worse in open or are u running cats?

Joe "Preachers Sheets" DIESO May 24, 2005 08:50 AM

That's cool. The owner must know how to really row those gears if he was running 11.2 with 428/370.

The open loop wasn't that bad.Drivability was good,it did hunt a bit at idle and hot starts though. Also had some good backfiring on decel. Now the starts are great,80% less backfiring and the A/F at WOT doesn't change :)
No Cats, pretty much straight exhaust,4.11 gears and ET streets/skinny's all the time.

Z06,Cam is in the 230's,idle is at 900rpm,not giving out who did the package. This is just a tuning comparison so people can see what differences it can be,thought's of how it runs ect.As soon as the weather clears it will be at the track hopefully running 10's NA. :)

We did recently check Waxmans car from him driving it about 2k miles. The A/F did not change and he pushed the same hp/tq as last year. The old saying of closed loop tuning changing is BS from what I've seen/tested :)

Noyzee May 24, 2005 09:00 AM

thats good power.
are they ls1 or ls6 heads?

zo6=ls6 :drive:

Nice numbers! I can't wait to see some new track times with the new tuning! :usa:

It doesn't make sense to me either about closed loop tuning changing. Once a computer has been programed with the information, it's going to stay within the parameters that it's been given.
