Default Got pissed today drilling mufflers

I figured I'd try to save myself a little money again....lol

I bought a DIY (Do it yourself kit for my Yamaha YZF R1) to replace the stock muffler baffles with 2" straight baffles on the inside wrapped with fiberglass sheathing. Well after trying to drill out the rivets on the end caps that were around titanium mufflers I ended up buying three cobalt drill bits to complete the job. Got everything removed now just waiting for the baffles to come in the mail. Get this..I paid 10$ shipping Priority mail USPS from Fresno, Ca. to Novato, Ca.....It's day three and still no baffles for my bike. WTF, why not ship UPS, ground..would have had it in two days for $5.. This sucker will or should put down 160@RW now

You probably would out drive me off the line.."maybe"hehe, but I can drive the chit out of it after first gear. So are you going to get the Gixr? You probably like bikes better than cars! I'm just wondering why you got rid of your last one..wife..got scared, lol
I wish I could put up a video link of the bike while I revved it a few times. I have a digital camera that recordes but don't know how to put the link on here.-Fred

Your talking to someone that use to be a Bike riding junky 2 new bikes a year for 5 years
Once the bike is broken in there was the first mission-Hit the rev limiter in 6th gear 2nd was to grind the ends of the pegs off by leaning it as far as possible,3rd was to hold a wheelie in 4 gears with the misses on the back
Now you see why I don't ride anymore

Thanks Fred. . . It's a full header system, with power commander. I recently took it off my friends' hands. He went 10.6 with it at NED.

Matt with the purchase of this bike, I am finally back in the loop of things. I went almost two seasons without riding a "newer bike". Time permitting we should go for ride, for sure. Here's a pic of my last bikes! Still have the '85 Interceptor. . .

Sorry for the off topic posts Fred.

Speedy, the 85 I'm guessing is the one on the right correct? What shape is it in, would you consider selling it?

I got it done. It sounds real nice too. I remapped it with a map from power commanders web site (European map). I took it out last night for a ride with my buddys 03 R1. I can't wait to dyno it. I'm going to Louisiana next week for work reasons, but will be dynoing it the week after. I emailed Slowhawk some pics, not sure if he got them though.-Fred
