Broke 12's!

Best of 12.83 @113 last night!

That was spinning hard too!

Needless to say, I'm very happy with my new WOT and rear, lol

Thanks guys! I've been walking on clouds all morning (kinda pathetic for 12's, I know lol)

here's the whole slip :) :
R/T: .779
60': 2.050
330: 5.606
1/8: 8.430
MPH: 87.54
1000: 10.829
1/4: 12.833
MPH: 112.98

Badpewter, does your locker get rough when you're turning (like into a parking space) and decelerating at the same time? Mine'll pop my torque arm with the clicks as I'm doing that. I just think I have too much negative pinion angle, or it could be the chassis mounted torque arm...

I can't wait to run something sticky back there!

badpewter-z Jun 23, 2005 03:41 PM

the locker clicks in tight parking lots and when i had stock shocks itd sway when you got on/off the gas . it was more streetable before the nittos though its a little jerky if you dont slip the clutch enough. youll learn to drive around it . idk if the frame mount tq arm would magnify any of the issues or not though . back up whil eturning then take off at the other(like backing outta a driveway) then take off thats usally a good click lol

CamTom12 Jun 23, 2005 04:20 PM

Mine jumps the car, kinda like the rear is binding along with the clicks... I guess it's time to adjust the pinion angle again, lol

I love the clicks, they're definately awesome, but the binding/ jumping during tighter deceling turns is driving me nuts (along with being embarrassing as hell when I've got a lady friend in the car). I was just curious if this is something I have to learn to live with or if my torque arm is off still

Congrats on getting your 12. Was this at NED last night? I saw a car like yours coming in the gate. :)

Fred99Z28 Jun 23, 2005 04:48 PM

Congrats, I remember breaking into the 12's for the first time with my 94 LT1. It's a good feeling. Just wait, the feeling get's awesome when you go 11's.. I can't speak for the 10's yet, but i'm sure it's just as gratifying.-Fred

Diolar Magnum Jun 23, 2005 06:58 PM

congratulations! I suspect I am in the 12's but have not proved it yet, :)

ButtaballZ28 Jun 24, 2005 01:03 AM

Congrats man....good for you. Now all you need to do is come back down here and drink some beers. :chug:

JL ws-6 Jun 24, 2005 06:29 AM

He's on pace to come close to my time.. but ading slicks does hurt MPH some.. his mph was the same as mine with the street tires, so it shoudl have at least a 12.4 in it I'd think.

Not that it matters.. my car's going in the garage next month.. and the "removed parts" pile is gonna start getting ALOT bigger I think.. somewhere in the neibhorhood of 150+ lbs are gonna go bye bye. I'm not playing games anymore. And, I'm working on trying to get my hands on a set of AFR's form a guy on this board that bought them and never installed them... just trying to iron out the payment plan.. if that goes thru.. anyone wanna give a guy a hand with a head swap?
Then a quick trip to eastside for a retune.. and 11's here I come. Sorry Cameron.. you'll be playing catch up again.

Oh, and over the winter, the plan is still to go with all the tubular front end stuff, shocks, a fuel pump and injectors, and I think a nitrous kit

So then you're gonna have alot of catching up to do! I'll be getting booted as soon as I make my first pass I'm sure for no rollbar... but hey.. then it's time to add that I guess.

Noyzee Jun 24, 2005 11:40 AM

i just got your mess, congrats man!!!
FYI i went 12.4 at 114 so your car has much more in it. hhmmmmm, wonder how she'll do with some heads. lol
