Default * Official Drivetrain Carnage Pictures * (entertaining, 56K don't bother)

I did all this slamming my 1-2 shift at WOT...
1) Blew the spider gears in the rear end AND some teeth of my pinion gear...

2) Destroyed the Factory torque arm (both top and bottom mounts) Top one was not even attached to the torque arm, but held on by the bolts through the pumpkin housing. Bottom one was only cracked.....badly.)

3) After the Torque arm snapped, just the LCAs and shocks were holding onto the rear end (basically). This in turn. "Lathed" (so I call it) my driveshaft into a cute little toothpick. The "bit" just happened to be my e-brake splitter bracket. Sweet! Also, my tailshaft housing was seaping pretty good.

I might add this car has maybe 12 track pass on it (3 different nights) and 20k miles. No big clutch dumps or hard lauches either. This was done on a Michelin Pilot Sport street tire.

Solutions, another 10 Bolt I got off a forum member in Natick. LG Motorsports Torque arm that I had laying around... I installed my LG swaybars at the same time. Driveshaft is still my dwindled down toothpick.

On with the pics, in no particular order...

I'm not sure how long these pics will last. They're hosted for free on photobucket.

Yeah the car has been down for 2 months. So it's nice to finally drive it again. Didn't get on it though, there's seriously a millimeter of thickness holding my driveshaft together. Can't really tell how deeply its been scraped in the pics.

I could use a driveshaft... The yoke will live, but if anyones got a driveshaft, that would be key.
