Default Tuning your own car?

I just started using the SCT Avantage "Pro Racers Package" for Ford Mustangs. I guess it's similar to LS1Edit and HP Tuners, and I'm slowly learning how to use the scalars, tables and what effect each has on the car.

It's really kind of exciting to finally start tuning my own car.. if it runs like ****- it's my ****. However, the base tune that SCT provides is pretty much on until the temp & humidity start to get in the high 90's.. and I get a little pinging. Some Torco helped, but I don't want to rely on that bandaid.

I've learned that the ECT (Coolant Temp) tables and the ACT tables (Intake Air Temp) can be adjusted to pull a few degree's of timing when the temps rise. Anyone have experience in comparible LS1edit functions, etc.

I recommend learning to tune THE RIGHT WAY and then applying what you learned. I may actually go to Florida and take some SCT classes..
