I wouldn't really call that a Z06 anymore ;) 2 speed powerglide,12 bolt rear,bach halved setup ect. Still flying though :)

Normally I would agree with this statement. But, there is no other alternative?
The stock drivetrain can't take the power. So what else can you do?

The car also isn't back halved, but it does have a solid axle and a Tq arm like an F-body. At least it is not a four link.

The car is a Twin Turbo so the glide is an obvious choice.
They would have been stupid to install anything else?
Again, at least it isn't a Lenco.

I give credit where credit is due, Cartek & Neverlift deserve a lot of Credit!
So does the owner Paul, without his determination and funding it never would have happened.

By the way.

Someone should post/link this the Drag Racing section.

This is a major accomplishment for the LSx community as a whole.

Not many will see it here.

8.8s@154+ in this air, just imagine one of those legendary low DA November days at Atco.
Impressive

The car is sick but it isn't a Z06 anymore ;) Obviously the stock rear setup can't handle that abuse.

Does that mean my Camaro is not a Camaro anymore? It's still a Z06 by factory name, it just doesn't have factory Z06 parts in it anymore.

I guess I don't have a Trans Am WS6 anymore either. Maybe I can get my insurance co. to drop my rates now.:)
Seriously, the factory parts are gone and I'm sure there will be quite a few vettes (and f bodies) that can corner better than Paul's vette but it's still a Z06. Ya can't just take the name away from the car.
It's a Z06, it's Paul's badd-ass 8 second Z06.

Glad to see that bad boy finally got in the 8"'s! Way to go Paul! BTW, I still want to run your slow car (the Viper).

Hey Don what's that blue car in your sig, it looks like a C5 but it's heavily modified so it obviously isn't a Corvette anymore? :D  ;)

Joe "Preachers Sheets" DIESO Aug 11, 2005 11:23 AM

Yea because a set of headers and a supercharger really tear the entire car apart.

ASS.

Damn, congrats guys. That's a nasty vette.

What's the motor setup on that?

I've been living in the world of turbo Mustangs for 6 years.
