whats this? half assing on the exhaust? put a new catback on the game thing so i cant hear u as ur blowing me away down the strip? and all that power wont do ya crap without a tire :) now excuse me while i go put some aloe on my legs, neck, and arms from the nasty sunburn i received yesterday working at the scales.... too bad u couldnt come, there was an extra seat in my dads van

Nautilus Sep 18, 2005 06:50 PM

HAHA, you don't have to hear me... you'll be able to see me! No but really there is no hp gain by going with a catback over the stock Z06 exhaust so right now if it doesn't make me faster I'm not buying it. We'll see about the tires, it might be fun beating you on a set of worn f1's :)

I really wanted to come down this weekend, but we had a weekend rush job to do... so work and $$$$ always come before play.

Noyzee Sep 18, 2005 07:22 PM

dude, get the Q|T|p| headers!!
but git r dun

well that would make sense, but i would have thought u would be better off with Kooks or Qtp like brad said. i have to make due with the used Macs i picked up, just trying to decide if im gonna want to gut the cats and weld a straighpipe through them or just leave 'em intact. i am gonna eliminate air and egr. well if u r on f1s than i still might be able to beat ya, just gotta get a perfect launch and i dont think u'll catch me before the 1/4, on the spray that is

Noyzee Sep 18, 2005 07:39 PM

talk to scott, they can get nice qtp stuff. get them on. i think they are real tight fit tho

Noyzee, saw some pics of you this weekend, unbelievable how hard you were leaving!!! :eek2: One of those pics is now the wall paper on my office computer! I was going with the supermaxx headers because they are less $$$ and I haven't seen where there is much of a performace difference between, LG's, kook's, QTP's or the supermaxx set ups?

Erik, what are were are you running for 60' times on your Nitto's? I've been pulling consistant 2.0 on my old worn F1's, with me weighing less and having more power, you better leave the line line an animal or I'll be all over you by the 1000ft mark :drive: :jest:

I was waiting until tomorrow to order this stuff anyway, so I'll talk to scott in the morning and see what he can do for me

badpewter-z Sep 18, 2005 07:50 PM

id say kooks , what caught your eye on the dynomaxx?

the zo6 exhaust flows awsome so no need to change that

Noyzee Sep 18, 2005 07:52 PM

thanks, the car was hooking good considering it was 90+ and 95% humid.

the supermax or dynomax?

Supermaxx, 1st post was a typo...

I see your dads, vette is on ccw's, you don't still have the stock wheels do you? I'm looking to buy a set of rears to put nitto's on?

Humvee z28 Sep 18, 2005 07:56 PM

how should i be leaving the line? well i should be able to clip 1.7s easy on a prepped track, maybe a little better... best i have hit is a 1.83 without the LCA's and panhard bar i have on there now... with the n2o i should be able to hit a low low 1.6 maybe a real high 1.5 i would think on a decently prepped track. i have no real experience on a prepped track, only been on street nights and we all know what LVD is like on street nights :barf:

thechef Sep 18, 2005 08:13 PM

the QTP stuff is really a quality set up

Alright, you guys sold me, I'm going with th QTP headers, High flow cats & X-pipe. I don't think I'm doing anything else because I'm planning on doing a cam and some other stuff this winter/spring so I'm going to hold off on the pully and anything else until then. I don't think they coud fit anything else in anyhow because I said it had to be ready for me by Oct 7th

Noyzee Sep 20, 2005 10:01 AM

im sure you will be happy with that choice!!
good luck, hope to meet you on the 7th
