Will GMMG exhaust pass inspection?
Might be a stupid question, but i saw that a guy in the LT1 section posted about it. I was wondering because i plan to put the GMMG on my third gen in the spring, and was wondering if it would pass PA state inspection (because it doesnt really have true mufflers and what not)???

hey you won't have any issues pa counts glass packs as muffler's so it'll be in real good shape. well unless you mechanices a butt hole and doesn't know his state inspection regs.

Not to highjack the thread, but I've been wondering the same thing about Virginia inspections. There's VA vehicle code (Chapter 10: 46.2-1049) that specifically states, "An exhaust system shall not be deemed to prevent excessive or unusual noise if it permits the escape of noise in excess of that permitted by the standard factory equipment exhaust system of private passenger motor vehicles or trucks of standard make." It goes on to state that, "Chambered pipes are not an effective muffling device to prevent excessive or unusual noise."
Based on that, I could see a VA inspection station not passing a GMMG exhaust. Would they? I dunno. I guess that depends on anything else they find. Anyone from VA know?
