Default any nj know anything about island dragway?

I was leaving hacketstown on 46 headed west today and noticed a little sign just a couple miles out that said island dragway to the right 1/4 mile. couldn't see much but looked like they was a stand back behind some tree's. anyone been there? or know anything about it. is it still in opperation yet?just curious never even heard of it before and was wondering what the story was. figured it might be another flemminton speedway store.

the daughter of the owner is actually on my home site www.njfboa.org if you'd like to ask her questions i think its 79camarodiva or something like that. The track itself is so so but I'd still take it any day over etown.

I've ran their before. I went towards the end of the season and it was PACKED! I only got 2 runs in. But I hear good things about it on test & tune nights.

it is a country track. surface is ok, prices are low, and the people are super friendly.
www.IslandDragway.com they will have the full schedule posted up very soon, including the 2006 East Coast F-Body Nationals (see stickied thread at the top of the forum )

I've been racing there for 25 yrs, hasn't changed much but a fun track to run. It does have a short shutdown though. It opens around the same times as most track around end of Feb/beginning of March.

I go there all the time. Usually a lot less crowded than Englishtown. You just have to drive down that crater-ridden driveway for about a quarter mile.

I have always run better times there than englishtown.Just don't go there when they have something going on if you want to get alot of runs in.
