Time to order some parts!! (don't forget the NOS)
I had my engine buddy over the other day and we did a compression test and leakdown test on the current old school SBC (that's small block chevy GEN I for those who no hobla espanio) that's in my 73 Z/28 and everything checked out OK so I got ahold of Vinny from www.860performance.com and ordered up an NX kit along with one of his bottle heater brackets and a window switch and can't forget the purge kit from www.dynotunenitrous.com (thanks Dean). Next up are some Hotchkis front and rear springs along with new shocks and bushings and I also ordered up a tranny crossmember from www.bowtieoverdrives.com so I can bolt in my 4L60E.
Things are starting to come together and I'm looking forward to seeing some track time in the 73.
Hopefully sometime in mid-late March I'll be going down to SRA Transmission to do some dyno tuning and get the old girl dialed in.
51 days till the track opens

I've got a bunch of house projects going on, currently in the middle of re-doing the main bathroom then its time to yank out the main window in the diningroom and put in a slider and remove the 70's paneling and rewire and sheetrock the entire room then replace the main windows in the living room and R&R the sheetrock (it has some weird wavy pattern on it) so throwing a transplant that will require some fabrication is not high on the list. Going to live with the current motor this season and then yank it out when the track closes (assuming it holds together for the year)
And on top of that I take care of my lil girl on the weekend as my wife works part time so.........I'd prefer to wait till next year.
