Which way is better

I'm doing my home work and trying to figure out best way to run 10's in either a 2005 LS2 vette, or a 2006 Zo6.

I figure the 2005 LS2 would be an A4, just don't know financially which way is better to go. Of course my setup would exclude N2o. I could deal with a nice turbo setup. What parts/packages would I need for the 2005?

Teh Z is capable of a mid 11 to start... with traction, headers and a cam it would probably run a 10.9, so figure whatever that would cost ya.

I don't know of anyone that has done it yet, but C6 with a big converter, gears, and tires, has got to be an 11 second car, how far into the 11's I don't know, they are a 12.70 give or take stock car.

The auto will make things easier, but you'll have ot step up and make more power over stock with it to get it done, whereas the Z06 would probably benefit more in teh traction department, both cars will need that addressed.

Then, there's the corvette drivetrain, will either stand up to that abuse? Without some upgrading, I highly doubt it.

Depends on how good of a driver you are. An auto would be easier to get into the low #'s. Z06 is awesome, but you have to be a great driver to put a stick into the 10's.

Haha! Don she gets a house, then I get the Vette.. Trust me on this one. My next car will be a Vette destined to be street legal and in the 10's! That means through the cats. Oh and what will it roughly cost me to put a 2005 Auto into the 10's? Can it be done for 10K considering no N2o? I'm talking turn key. I know you have the best prices.-Fred
