What the hell are you doing now? Valve covers open and the Mass air meter is gone :eyes:

He needs to go pick up that rear end. :jest:

Speedy0009 05-29-2007 07:43 PM

Hmm.. valve train upgrade for a cam swap?? Perhaps Speed Density tuning??

Dave, I'm in contact with your buddy now trying to set something up. We are going to see what a 2.73 rear will do vs a 3.42.

I finished the springs and the valvetrain up top. Should be tuned (speed denisty as well ;) )and dyno'd shortly.

It sounds really tame but really deep, at least to me. I'm really happy with it so far, I want my dad to check it out, he loves it whenever the car gets something new. He liked the big stall on the stock car a lot, he'll get a kick out of the cam.

Oh yea, the doors shake a lot. Whenever iget a cam, its not cool unless it shakes the doors a lot.

Haha if I run fast enough to justify one that would be awesome.

I'll drink to a cage, CHEERS!

Joe "Preachers Sheets" DIESO 05-30-2007 09:24 AM

Cage not cafe, doh!

.

I'm figuring a smoked tranny will be the difference :jest:

Joe "Preachers Sheets" DIESO 05-30-2007 11:37 AM

There isn't any time to get the rear or put it in, I don't have the option. I guess all I can do is let the car cool down as much as possible between runs, I don't know....

Brentc5R 05-30-2007 11:44 AM

Joe, youve got the Don Kinder cam, better than the Trex... much

Tracer X 05-30-2007 12:17 PM

Looks good DIESO!! I can't wait to check it out!

Rhode Island Red 05-30-2007 12:22 PM

Great to see the real mods begin :D ... warning uninformed question alert: What made you go speed-density vs the old edit (I know that the car likes it better) ... I thought the benifits were towards more higher hp cars (turbo/blowers and their ilk) Any significant rwhp difference in tuning vs the other way?

8ALTNG 05-30-2007 12:42 PM

Nice DIESO... maybe I will see it run a C/F Shootout :secret2:

Joe "Preachers Sheets" DIESO 05-30-2007 01:37 PM

If I don't have to run a maf, why would I run a maf?

It'll be at the c/f shootout, taking 6 hour breaks between runs to save the tranny.

Well unless they force me to work, so far I don't have to.
