Nasty350LT1 Jun 10, 2007 10:38 PM

It was OK in my book.

ws6ta444 Jun 10, 2007 11:12 PM

disappointing......guess you have to imagine what happens......BS

2000LS1TA Jun 10, 2007 11:41 PM

I thought it was terrible!!!!

Grillrd Jun 11, 2007 12:07 AM

they are leaving it open for a movie...i did not like the ending, but I did enjoy Phil Leotardo finally getting clipped...and run over haha

LS1LT1 Jun 11, 2007 12:21 AM

The episode wasn't even nearly as good as last weeks....at first I was pissed by the last scene and it's abrupt 'go nowhere' type ending but they really built the tension up so well that at least the last 4 minutes were entertaining. :)

That's what I'd heard as well and by the looks of this finale, I would agree. :werd:

They left an awful lot open ended IMO, and should have shown phil's head popping like a tomato... would have been better IMO.

With the way that was left, there's plenty of room for it to NOT be the end....

I never really watched the Soprano's, my parents were nuts about it, I heard a lot of yelling and cursing coming from downstairs last night.

I was a huge X-Files fan, and the last episode, with no real ending pissed me off just as much. I need closure in my TV Shows.

LOL

Worst shit ever. It was so bad I thought my cable company had a problem until my brother called and was like WTF. I dont want to think for myself about how a fake story ends. I want the writer to tell me how he ends it. I loved this show and I am so disappointed its not even funny. But you guys are right they left it wide open for a movie of spin off show or what ever but I am still pissed.

:jest: Im not the only one that thought the cable went out I guess. That ending sucked. It was kind of a choose your own ending, ending which was kinda gay.

Ive heard they are gonna make a movie but I still think there hasnt been a decent episode since Season 3.

Krazy98Z28 Jun 11, 2007 09:25 AM

When the screen went black I jumped off my couch and started yelling at my cousin "what the fuck did you do" :jest:

Best part of the whole episode was when they shot Phil, I was clapping and screaming lol I hate that mother fucker.

Can't wait for the movie :)

I was watching it with the boss and the screen went black. I laughed and said that's it, the cable went out. Then the credits start rolling!

I didn't like the ending. My bet was that Tony was getting wacked. My buddy guessed that Tony went to the Feds. Now I'll never know.

I did enjoy seeing Phil get wacked. :judge:

Supposedly, the writer intended for the blank screen to indicate Tony getting shot. He kept referring back to the scene with Tony and Bobby on the boat talking about getting shot and that you never hear it, that everything just goes black.

That final scene is all from Tony's perspective, and supposedly it showed how paranoid he was. Anyone in that diner could have shot him, possibly the guy who was at the counter and walked into the bathroom.

Who knows. Just goes to show what we think doesn't matter.

The Guy that walked into the bathroom

Hey Alchemist,

The guy that walked into the bathroon was Pauly from Penndel Pizza. He's a local guy.

The guy that walked into the bathroom was Phil's nephew wasn't it....

The 2 black guys were guys that had done work for the NY family I think and the boy scouts and the guy with them were the kids that were in the train store when bobby was killed.

I liked the episode.

I really knew someone who got clipped that way. He was run over with a "track loader type" bulldozer!

plaf713 Jun 11, 2007 03:31 PM

what a horrible way to end such a good series. very disappointed

freakynipples69 Jun 11, 2007 04:45 PM

There's a few things to point out about the final scene.

1) When Tony first enters the diner he's wearing a brown colored shirt with the black leather jacket. He enters and stops and we see from his POV as he scans the diner. It then cuts right to a view of Tony wearing a black and white shirt sitting at the table. We didn't see him sitting down. This could point out that Tony was day dreaming the last 5 minutes.

2) That guy that went into the bathroom was Phil's nephew, which could lead you to believe that he whacked Tony and that's why the screen when black. When Tony died, so did the show. I wish we just actually saw him die or something for closure.

3) I don't know why everyone keeps saying that the last shot is of Meadow when it was Tony looking up(and it looked like he was reaching for a gun too). I re-watched the episode on my DVR and Meadow is not the last shot.

4) David Chase has said several times that he really doesn't want to make a movie, but would consider it under certain conditions. The actor that played Phil said a couple of times that there was talk of a movie, but of a prequel and not a continuation of where the show ended. Which sucks. So more than likely, they left it so open like that so they could make a movie a few years down the road and have it be whatever they want it to be. And they'll be cashing in big time.
