Default edelbrock slip on merge collectors

Chef I notice you have a set of the edelbrock headders do the slip on merge collectors leak ?

Yes, they do, unless they are welded on, which is a PITA as the inside is star shaped. I'd go with the ones that already have the collectors welded on. The only reason to go with the slip on's is to adjust the length of the primaries, which most people don't need to do (and also because the slip on's are cheaper, which is why I went with them a long time ago, but paid for it in the end by having to have them welded anyway).

how did you weld then any pics? I cant seem to picture getting all the way around the merge collector or welding them from the inside. I'm concerenced about the leaking messing with the 02 sensors.

yup they leak, mine are now welded, get the welded set from the get go, other than that they are a good header

Just trust me, you have to weld from the inside, then the outside. Just go with the welded ones. Don't make it into more a PITA than it has to be. They are great headers for the price though, that's for sure.

I have them too, leaking over here too. Im thinking about having them jet-hot coated to resolve the leaks. Thoughts?

that wont resolve the leaks or make them seal.
if you want a coating to "seal" it, you can try permatex copper, but it wont be perfect and it wont last forever
