Talking Raced my Brother

Long story short, he likes Mustangs, I like F-bodies, there has always been a rivalry.

He has at this moment 3 stangs, all very clean, low miles. 1993 LX Notch, 1988 GT, and a 1986 GT T-top car, the 93 and 86 are 5 speed the 88 is auto.

He recently picked up the Notch, it was a car he always had a eye on, owned by a state cop, mods done by a tech at his shop and he helped them do the mods. So he knows whats done to it.

His mods.

One of the ABC cams (I think its a E303)
Roller rockers. 1.6 (stock is 1.5)
Hartman (plastic upper intake)
Cat back
3.73 gears
Stock radial
No mods to lighten but still waaaaay lighter then me
5-speed.
No computer tuning, just distribtor timing adjustment.

My mods

Lid
Headers
High flow cats
Corsa
4.10's
BMR LCA's w/ brackets, TQ arm and Pan Hard rod
7 yr old dry rotted F1's (17" rim)
Stock tune.

I decided not to beat him up too bad and left the MT et streets home. Even though they are pretty much done, they are still way better then the current rubber. Also I didnt feel like changing.

Honestly, I didn't want to race him, I beleive I could beat him pretty easy and I kinda just brushed it off. Welp he has been breaking my ***** so badly I decided its time to run, we have this place that pretty close to us.

On the way there, from a stop sign I revved 2k and let out easy and nothing but spinnage so no revving allowed.

We got to the spot line up, I didnt do a burn out, I honked 3 times and I let out easy off idle, we both screeched pretty badly, I back peddled a bit and it was all over. Even with tapping the rev limiter twice (2-3 and 3-4 shift), he was clearly in my rear view, I would have to say its an honest 6-7 car lengths. It was pretty bad. My clutch did the atypical softness feeling for a few minutes.

We decided to do it again, just to be sure. Some people showed up and I didnt like the attention, I made him do the honks and I put prob 7-8 lengths this time around. He complained he got messed up becuase I asked him to honk.

I told him we can race again and this time the M/T E/T tires go on lol.

His car did good, it needs a tune, tire and a lil suspension work, since its wayyy lighter then mine I didnt feel bad shutting him up.

That was my point, but he works 2 jobs (by his choice) and it wasnt going to get done until I did this. Where we go its safe enough. I have a couple other places better to go but its lik 1/2 hour to get there and he didnt want to drive.

Yea depending on the year and if SD or MAF equipped power varied but we have seen them dyno dead stock in the 160-170 range. If he gets the exhaust nice and open and get it tuned, w/ tire he should fair better
