It's getting to be that time

So everyone in the northeast is probably like me and trying to get those last few days in with your car. What I wanted to see is what everyone does to their cars before they store them for the winter. Everyone seems to do different things so I'm interested to see.

Whats wrong your car doesnt run in the cold?

Before I park the SS in the garage for the winter months, I do the following;

- Wash and Zaino
- Fill the gas tank
- Change the oil and filter
- Park the wheels on wooden blocks
- Place a battery tender on the battery

I've been following that routine for about 6 years now without any problems.

My car loves the cold... hates the snow :jest:

I generally wash, wax, change the oil, fill the tank, air the tires up and cover up. I don't pull the battery or put a tender on it (only because I don't have one) I just let it run down and throw a charger on it in the spring.

Put it in the garage and start doing more mods! If it's not bitter cold and no snow I'll drive it around the block 1-2 times a month just to keep everything lubed and the batt charger. No major driving, car has little heat and the freaken hurst T-bar shifter gets mighty cold!

But right now I'm replacing the motor, hoping to get it running in the next few weeks so i get get it inspected too.

BS!! You put the cover on the race car for the winter in hopes that when it comes off in the spring it wipes the dirt off with it!:jest:

That is the funniest thing I've heard all week. Last year I did a couple burnouts infront of my house drove it on the trailer and didn't open it back up for 6 months :jest: And when I finally got the trailer unstuck and put some air in the tires... it fired right up and did another burnout. Race cars aren't supposed to be washed :D

The race car isn't getting put away this winter... we've got work to do. :devil:
