how does it run all the same on straight pump gas or straight e85? the tunes are completly diff. from each other...

I think the main thing with ethanol is that it eats regular fuel lines- must have stainless lines. If the tune senses knock, it will pull timing, unless there is some sort of sensor.

The computer knows the difference between the fuels. Hence 'flex fuel'.

yeah but with e85 it uses like 30% more fuel.... b/c its mainly alc.

There are sensors in the tank that measure the % of E-85. Newer trucks have it and on the tuning software you can adjust those tables too.

oh wow..... thank you.... thats deff awesome..... has anyone used those sensors in cars that didnt come with it?

like if we were to put it in a c5 zo6 we are building? any info on that?

i wonder if you could use the high and low octane tables. sinc ethe car self checks when it starts up, it should, theoretically, pick the rick table for whichever fuel or combination of fuel is there.

That car was built by Pratt + Miller- they build the LeMans Vettes. They are making I think maybe 20? or so for about 185K! Jay bought the first one. It was in Corvette Magazine a couple of months ago. If you got the money.....:D
