Default Made some progress on the turbo build...

pressure side of the fuel system is plumbed...still need to mount the fuel cell and run the feed/return lines...Aeromotive rates this setup to support 3500 hp

-12 to pump, -10 from pump split into 2 -8 lines to rails. Other side of rails -8 to regulator and -10 return

Mounted the vacuum pump puke tank...-12 line connecting pump to tank

Figured out the "super short belt" mod.... crank and alternator only

Oh...and its now a true drag radial car...315/60/15s...thanks to shiz for letting me borrow these tires for mockup

your shortbelt setup, did you use the stock tensioner on that? Looks intresting. I have another alt I plan to use, single wire type, and it bolts on to the stock lower alt mount, but the top uses a slide style mount that attaches to the motor plate, making it adjustable. If I run into problems, it would be nice to have an alternate setup to try.

yes...found a thread that Tom the Roofer posted several years ago...he did the exact same thing.

Used the stock tensioner and mounted it on the back side of the alt bracket...took some work, and I had to space it some to make it align right...but it seems like it should work

Nice. If you could be so kind, and take a couple pictures of what ya had to do and how you did it that would be great.

I'm pretty sure the way I'm gonna do it will work, but it's really nice to see another person's way of going about it.

Its literally mounting the tensioner on the back side of the alternator bracket where the idler was. Need to notch to make clearance for the tensioner. Only is held in by one bolt. the other side of the tensioner is pushed down towards the alternator bracket itself. I'll try to remember to send you a pic next time I take it apart

Looks great! Is that the actual motor or just a mock up? What are the specs on the motor?

motor in car is my old N/A setup. I bought the turbo motor that harlan was going to use before he changed his mind

LS2 block (4.010 bore), Callies Magnum XL stock-stroke crank (the ultralight version), aluminum rods, JE coated pistons, etc. Should be ~9.2:1 with my setup

3.89 with Glide. I'm setup for more 1/8 mile than anything right now since that is what cecil's DR class will be.
