well I've been trying to wetsand but the pitting is just too deep. They need a lot of attention. I need them back up to a smooth as glass mirror polish like when I got them.

There is a place called the wheel shop, they are out of windsor CT, JL-ws6's had is bogarts mounted there and they repair rims as well, and from what I hear they do work wonders.

I feel your pain!

I let my high-polished wheels go far too long in between cleaning, and let me tell you... what a bitch to get them back up to snuff!

Ended up using a DeWalt drill and a bunch of 6" wheels to buff them back to a shine. It took about 8 hours per wheel and I used up three 6" buffing wheels on each one... I **** you not!

If you're at the point where you need to bust out the sand paper, you have a lot of work ahead of you. Best bet is to grab a friend or two, a case of beer, two drills and a pile of buffing wheels/compound, and make a day of it.

ya ive got the aluminum polishing compounds and some buffing drill bits but i do not have the time. i started out on one wheel just sanding and havent gotten all the pitting out even after 3 hours and thats just one front wheel...my rears are 18x11 with a nice 3" dish and then oh yes the inner side too i wish i had just sealed the wheels when i first got them. i did take care of them when they were on the car but when winter came i took them off and put them under a tarp...guess water got in and the fact i didnt clean them before storing probably is what caused all this.

Haha... sounds just like my deal.

Mine are 18"x11" with 3" lips and 18"x9" for the fronts.

Having the spokes flatblack helps a ton with the work load, thinking about doing the inner barrels flat black before summer hits, so I will have even less crap to buff.

Yes, they are missing the wheel screws, just haven't put them on in that pic.
