Default Turn Key Racecar NOW AVAILABLE

The owner of my dealership is very Mustang Friendly (Saleen, Roush, Cobra, etc) and 75 of these racecars are now available.

His question to me is: Would anyone buy them????

CLICK HERE for PDF file on the car.

Considering the number of Mustang Challenge cars I saw during the Rolex weekend at NJMP, I am gonna say a lot of people want them. If I had money I would be all over the series. The cars qualify for several different NASA and SCCA classes and are equiped off the floor with all of the things you need to go run NASA Endurance events.

The only thing I wish they had done to the cars is seam weld them. For all the work you woudl think they would make sure the chassis stiffening was all the way done. Everything else about the cars and the series is top notch, great way to get into side by side racing if you have the scratch.

Hell to the **** no.

75k for no real power. Now mind you for a auto-x car, you dont always need to have the most power but seriously. I honestly think I can build the same car for less. Thats MSRP, not including any assumed Dealer Mark-up.

I do like the .PDF file though.

I don't think there will be mark-up or "market adjustment" because they are niche vehicles.

If you think about all the time and expense to get to where these cars are, it's pretty much a wash.

The only issue I see is that this car is ment to be raced, Id be looking for a supplier for body panels and parts. It does bother me about the power plant.

Given how the market has totally 100% **** the bed, I see these moving by rich mustang fans that will put the majority in a sealed bag in a garage somewhere. I don't see ANYTHING really moving off the lots.

for 75K I can buy a 99FRC, rip out the interior, put a bar in it, build a motor for it, upgrade the suspention and beat that Mustang by a mile...

That's indisputable.. but the cost in $$ and manhours to get to the same place will be pretty much the same.

This series features these cars:

http://www.mustangchallenge.com/

Plus- I'm sure it would do well in Auto-X and SCCA stuff.

Hell- If you put a blower on the car, it would be fun at the 1/4 mile, too.

Would it beat the "beasts of the east" like Paul Major- hell no...

I think you guys are missing the fact that this isn't a car that can be directly compared by the old " well I can build............", this is a done, developed, off the lot and onto the track, class legal, already certified race car, intended for a spec series. This is not something that you buy to be the fastest car to ever hit the track.

yeah, they sell no problem- id buy one. That racing series looks awesome and would be so fun. 75k is chump change in the road racing arena. It probably costs 30 grand just to run the car in whole series. If I worked at the dealership I would sneak one out for a teast ride.

That is true... its obviosly a very easy way to get right into a race series.

But then again, you can buy a Formula BWM car for less...

I wonder how many will be purchased with the intent of letting it sit for 30 years and then making an appearance at Barret-Jackson

I dont see why you couldnt just gut an 05 GT and build that car for way less the half the price.

I understand that the "suspension is awesome and has Sachs dampers and Brembo competition brakes, not the GT500 kit, but upgraded even further, with a reprogrammed ABS calibration to compensate for the brake package and stickier tires. Body is completely seam-welded, there is a full cage inside, de-contented wiring harness, and the usual race bits".
