I'm performing a DOD delete on an L83. I removed the VVT cam sprocket by walking off the chain and since it was my first time, it was time consuming but doable. My question is related to reinstalling it and if I should use my oil pump alignment bolts and remove the oil pump bolts if that will give me some extra clearance. Is there anything I should watch out for? Should I not mess with the pump and is there a chance I can damage the seal between the pump and oil pan? It's in a Silverado and dropping the pan really isn't an option.
Thanks

Q: Am I ok asking Gen V questions here, having a truck and not a Camaro?
Q: Where do I get service guides? I've heard alldata and identafix. Are Chilton manuals any good?

Considering doing, for truck longevity:
- Checking for intake valves carbon caking.
- Oil Catch can install.
- AFM physical delete. Possible cam (and other) upgrade.
- New oil pump (scary as this is dropping oil pan).
- Transmission service: filter and new PPE pan for extra cooling.
- Transmission valve body upgrade

Thanks,
