Appearence question for ya'll... I'm ordering a set of Black TTM's for the TA, and I was wondering how the car would look with white letter tires? I want to reinforce the vintage look I'm going with. I've never seen it done on a TA, and I want to know what you guys think before I do it. |
IMO RWL tires don't look good on fourth gens, but that's just me. |
What I was thinking of doing was using the Duplicolor Hot tire paint, and fill in the "BF Goodrich" on the new tires that I ordered with the wheels. |
ehh. i say no. but hey if you like it go with it. |
My vote is No, especially with Black TTM's, those are gonna look saweeettt! But the white letters will kill it. |
:nono: Stick with black |
I got bored one day and colored DRAG on my nittos white, it actually didnt look bad but wore off after a couple weeks. I used the duplicor hottires |
i say no. but it's your car. |
I think what I'm going to do is, after the wheels get here. I'll do the letters on one tire and put it on the car and take a pic, then post it so ya'll can see how it looks. Just gotta wait for them to get off of backorder first. lol |
If you do the 50's are going to call you wanting their white letters back..... All kidding aside I vote NO.. Just some good ole' tire shine |
Credit for the retro look. If you do it right, it will look good. Maybe go with anthrasite centers w/gray lettering on just the outline of the letters so it does'nt pop so much.JMO.Four years ago when I put black wheels w/all black tires (white letters not showing) on my truck, everyone said don't do it. I think I started something ya know. Do it and put up some pictures. Yes to radical thinkers............. |
