UGH!! yay, read this too late. When I got there, I checked the lot first found a red bird I can take maybe 1 thing off of to use and when I asked the guy about the motor's he said they do all that on ebay and their website. Handed me a card and sent me on my way..... Went to ebay... nothing. Went to site and am now sending them a msg to see what they have. Good ole run around. And yes Lakeland HF. I live on 27, this is better to get to then the one in orlando.

but yeah it's weird I just looked on ebay and now all their stuff is down. they did say they were taking a bunch of ls and other engine swap setups up to the sumter swap meet this weekend, so I guess they pulled everything down until they know what they are going to sell or not

I know he blew his up the weekend after we raced and it's still down. he bought that Ruckus instead and has been playing with it. I asked him yesterday what the deal was on the teg and he said he has been slowly doing stuff here and there but no big rush on it. sounds to me like he's trying to decide what to do now. he puts down the same power as me, but weighs 500+lbs less, yet only got me by about a car. so he's probably thinking ls's look pretty damn good right now lol.
and if you work at Regal you probably know Bryan aka "part-time" too lol

4L80E Rebuild
Finally got started tearing down the 4L80E yesterday. I had the valve body torn down a week ago but really got serious with the internals! It turned out that I was able to get everything out without the special tools that they call for. I did buy a spring compression tool so I can get into those clutches and the sprag. Here are a couple of the before, during and after pictures!

Dammit!! I can't find an Lq9 for under 1800. All pro auto parts had one and said just the block would be 1500. dammit. I want to swap motors. sell what I got, build a bad *** motor for DD use for a fun weekend Track car.
Anyone know of a good LQ9 Motor for sell. let me know, good miles and has not been in a roll over and had a 24 reluctor such on such on

just get an lq4 which is cheap and put a cam in it while it's out and it will totally **** on that lq9. there's not much difference in them anyways, not to be worth the price difference

I don't mind paying the price difference actually. extra 20-30 hp = game on. It's all good. I search ebay for 6.0 engine and came across some 2500 Silverado engines for 1000 anyone know if those are the LQ9's?

My 6.0L is a LQ9. It came out of a Escalade. I just found out that the block is a 2004 or newer because it has the "all one length" head bolts. The LQ9's were used in:
LQ9 (VIN N) Applications:
2002–2006 Cadillac Escalade
2002–2006 Cadillac Escalade EXT
2003–2006 Cadillac Escalade ESV
2003–2007 Chevrolet Silverado SS
2004–2005 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Vortec HO Edition Only [Badging on truck](B4V)
2006–2007 Classic Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra VortecMAX Option
Good luck with finding one.

Found this and it's helping. it's really hit and miss on these engines. http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum...source=message

There's no reason to pay the extra cash for a lq9. Unless u pull the heads and look at the pistons when u buy the engine u can't tell anyways. The block casting number are exactly the same. I could have a lq4 and sell it to u as a lq9 and u would never know unless u pulled the heads. Buy a lq4 and put a cam in it like bad hombre said. I just sold a complete lq4 dropout with tranny, harness, and computer for $1100.
