Refinishing headlight

Being a detailer I am always trying out new products to provide a more satisfied customer. Well I have finaly found a process that I approve of for clearing up the oxidation on head lights. Especially camaro headlights. I will get up some pics later today. If any one needs it done or needs some tips on refinishing them. Let me know. I will do a step by step on how to do it if I can get another person to lend me there head lights to show the process. and the results.

Change "due" to "do". Sorry, looks more professional.

I do detailing as well, and personally, some of the kits Advanced Auto offers actually work surprisingly well. They cost about $20.

I haven't been all that impressed with some of the stuff. It seems that it still leaves a little yellow behind. I have mastered a process to make it a 100% clear with no yellow left behind. Plus looks better than new due to the polishes and what not.

I like going all out with 400 grit, 800 grit, 1000 grit, 1500 grit, then 2000 grit. Then top it off with a rotary using meguiars #83. Check out my thread I just posted to see pics.

Awesome guy to deal with and does awesome work. He did my black Z28 that felt like sandpaper and now it's like brand new

I would say that is all out. I found some products that allows me not to have to use sand paper.

I used the 3M kit on a 97 suburban yesterday and that shit was the bomb. It didnt take a genius to use either just use mad water and take your time.

I'm interested in this. Anytime I've ever cleaned up some headlight it was with 600, 800, 1500, 200 and its worked like a charm. My camaro's headlight looked brand new when I was done with it. However, anytime I've done it on the prelude, it cleans up well for a few months, then hazes really bad again.
