Can anyone in South Florida help out? My sisters car (03 Neon SXT) blew out a spark plug and stripped the head. I have heard about helicoil but am kind of skeptical about using it because I don't want to cause more damage to anything else. I have also thought about just buying a replacement cylinder head for her car but am not having much luck. If anyone knows of a place down here (near Jupiter, FL) that has a SOHC 2.0l cylinder head for a neon PLEASE make me aware. Also if there is anyone willing to help out with the replacement that would also be appreciated. Because I am far from home trying to get the car up and running I don't have many of the tools I need to get this done. The car is currently at a shop but they quoted upwards of $1000 to replace the head with labor and there is no way in hell I'm paying that much for something that seems so easy. Any help or info would be GREATLY appreciated.
