Got some Questions.. Can you help?
Ok so Finally after a Year of procrastinating the Engine is out of the Z and going to the machine shop.. I had some tapping/ Knocking ..
Its going to get inspected and a bottom end Rebuild. I want to put a Cam in it while its out so the question is what cam? i want something streetable but that still makes a good amount of power... Im running stock heads, Should i have those ported while there out? any gains to that?
i know i will need new push rods as well. How do i go about finding the correct length.. Also im wanting to add a stall while the tranny is out as well.. 3200? ... also headers are going in as well.
I know theres alot of questions there but i want them all to work together.. Can you give any suggestions.. And im not a Super Rich guy so i cant afford the Most expensive stuff.. so be easy on the wallet when making suggestions.
Thanks guys!

Hey bud,
We can help if you need it. We can get you parts, and help with tech/install stuff as well.
We sell an AFR grind that is great for your current mods. I actually am installing an identical cam in a customer car that should make fantastic power. PM me for more details.
As far as PR length goes, we can explain it to you, but experience helps (and the right tools). It helps to have a dial indicator, PR length checker from Comp, a solid LS lifter and EXPERIENCE.
Best to take it to a shop for that kind of thing. Many aftermarket cams have a smaller base circle which can affect geometry (along with many other factors). The wrong PR length can cause some serious problems!

its always an excellent idea to have someone else choose your camshaft for you, that way when it doesn't make power you can blame someone else. but i would recommend you have a custom camshaft for whoever you choose.
