Invade Georgia to Drag Race for HPP Magazine
 

Since Florida is another epicenter of F-body drag racing, how about driving up to Atlanta and showing your Northern neighbors where the F-body power in the South really lies! See below, entries are due June 13.

High Performance Pontiac Magazine- POCI Shootout

HPP Magazine in conjunction with Year One, POCI and DAPA are putting on another Pavement Pounder Shootout. This time we are in Commerce, Georgia on Wednesday, July 13. This is the day before the POCI drag-race on Thursday, July 14 and part of the overall POCI Nationals experience.

If you haven't heard of the Pavement Pounder Series, essentially 18-20 cars get the use of a track (Atlanta Dragway) for a day of racing where your car will be photographed and put in the magazine. The cars involved will be both Classic and late-model Pontiacs and I need help to recruit fast late model Firebirds and GTO's.

Me and my friend Jeff(GotMeSOM) drove my Silver 02 Formula up to Commerce for the LS1Tech/YearOne dragrace on April 22-24, I made it to the semi finals in Super Stock we had a great time also.I would like to attend this get together but I will be on Vacation in the Carribean or maybe I could go there for one day :eyes: .

If you could make it, that would be great. Any help that you could provide getting other Floridians to apply would be greatly appreciated. Did you guys go to the Thunder Shootout last year (the coverage I did for GMHTP comes out next issue)?

I definately will try to make it, my Vaca is in June so that`ll work. If my 98 Formula is`nt done I will bring my 02 Formy which is pretty quick for a daily driven car(300 miles/week). My friend Mike at Next Level Perf has done many TAs locally so maybe we can get a couple guys to come up, also have a friend with a Black 04 GTO w/Magnacharger+ HC that runs low 12s that would possibly go. I didnt make it to Thunder last year but my friend Eric did(NEXT) cant wait to see that. :)

There were a lot of nice rides at Thunder. I think a friend of mine got a little coverage. I don't think I did anything magazine worthy at that event.

I'm hoping to get a buddy to bring his stock-short block 95 lt1 to this event. Hopefully it won't interfer with vacation or local racing plans.
