GTO's vs. Mustangs @ Gainsville?

GTO's vs. Mustangs @ Gainsville? FIRST, Search function isn't working for me, so sorry....
I haven't noticed anyone talking about this so, I'm just wondering if its still happening. About a month or two ago I remember hearing about the GTO club(s) & Mustang club(s) in northern FL were renting out the track in Gainesville sometime in september?
I have been expecting to goto this but, haven't heard anything about it since and I figured there would at least be some mention of it if it were still happening.

I'm also just wondering if any NE FL guys are heading out? Maybe cruise out as a group??? Jax Cruise #9 or something... haha...

The event is scheduled 9am - 4pm and then they will have a regular test and tune afterwards from like 4:30pm to ???. The GTO/Stang thing is only open to GTO's and Stangs and there's a signup list over on LS1GTO.com. So, for us camaro firebird guys, Its $5.00 to the GTO club guys to get in and watch. It says they are donating that $5 to charity or something... The regular test and tune session aftwards is a totally seperate event and everybody will have to leave the track for that 1/2 hour prior to 4:30 and come back. I think that cost is like $20.

There is a street and fast trophy class that run for a trophy for a $20 entry fee, and you'll get 2 time runs before eliminations.

Bump this if anyone knows what happened? It was raining around 2-2:30 that afternoon when I was within 5 miles of the track. Did the event happen?

yep it happened, we had a good time......we got 4-5hrs in at least then the rain came but plenty of runs and everything. I wish my car was done so I didnt have to be a spectator but still fun to watch. I saw plenty of mustangs that LOOKED like they were fast,
