miami has a "we're better than you attitude" not a "thug reputation" and what is wrong with that.uf and fsu are no saints.and when you lose as many as players in the draft especially the first round your gonna feel the effects sooner or later. i mean there has been over 20 players taking in the first round alone since 98,in this past draft we had 3 just as much as uf (national champs) and we went 7-6.
its been 4 years since we last won a conference championship and we are 3-1 in bcs games.name another team in the state that has had that same kind of success this decade

 

well jacob we could talk about florida's hard SEC schedule no doubt, toughest conference in the country, but how many other teams get three preseason games a year, florida plays....

remember jacob, miami beat ya twice with your own reject quarterback brock berlin, its easy to forget the past and talk about the present when you are on top, true? but for many years miami owned everybody in florida's *** hands down and to think miami wont be on top again soon is rediculously dumb, so dont bag on miami just because they have had a couple of bad years, and i too remember the thug years, miami used to go out and dance on everybody's symbol at the 50 yard line but they would turn around and kick your *** also, understand that i dont agree with this style at all, things go around, and miami will shine again soon, they always do, soooo, i'm just happy to have a win and to watch them under a new coach and to not have 3 preseason games as well, tennessee didnt get a western kentucky did they?, maybe one day florida will open up against a quality opponent, hell for last couple of years we had FSU, that's a rough opener, here's to the canes and 2007!!!!!!!!!!

1. marshall....wow...has been a no one since randy moss
2. OU....one of your tough games...who got blown out by a blue field school last year
3. FIU...want to go for round two mike tyson?
4. A&M...choke in every big game...
5. duke...has more basketball championships then you
6. UNC....see #5 and you've lost to them
7. GT....other tough game...see ND...have fun
8. UNCST...who'd they lose their opener to?
9. UVA...????
10. VT...also chokes in big games...and will probably get tossed by LSU this weekend
11. B.C...south carolina like at best...

i forget the past just because....ITS THE DAMN PAST...hell i could live on 1996 all the time, but i dont....its this season...here and now....not 5 years ago, not when micheal irvin played or jimmy johnson coached....no one accept UM fans care about that...

im not bashing your team, im trying to bring reality back to all of you.....miami the past few years has been average at best...and it will be that way for several more years....talent has begun to dwindle in the ole orange bowl....i dont even think you pulled a 5 star recruit this year...THATS THE FUTURE AND THE PRESENT....what i care about

 

by the way stupid, OU didnt get blown out last year by the smurf turf team, use your brain and check the scores, it was 43-42 on a two point conversion at the end of the game, and why bash boise state, what you cant be good unless you are from the sec, what a douche, give credit where credit is due, boise state went undefeated for 3 years in a row, no matter what conference that is still hard to do, they cant help what conf they play in .

 

our last title was in 2001, we won like 35 straight raping uf and tenn at their house along the way, and cheated out of being the first bcs back 2 back champions.every team in the sec are chokers thats why they never come out undefeated. and we had one 5 star recruit(graig cooper) ran for over 100 over on sat against 1A competition but that doesnt compare to what tebow did against 1AA competition and we also got he guy that broke tebows high school td record last year(robert marve)plus we have 17 verbal commits so far this year www.canesports.com how many does uf have.......and by the way duke and nc has more championships than yall too probably the sec combined but we'll save that for basketball season

as stated in post #4, considering the games we lost last year a three game turnaround isn't that much to ask for,especially after firing a coach that went 66-15 and two title game appearances winnning one that's the least that should happen this year.......this has gotten out of hand lets just compare this season and so far we're 1-0 against #84 team in the ap poll and currently ranked #6 in rivals.com recruiting class whereas you guys are 1-0 against #120 in the ap poll and ranked #32 in recruiting

and to correct you only the last two years you guys were raned #2 and #1 in 05 the gators were #15 and um was #7

 

ok, well lets settle this b.s., florida is good but tebow hasnt fully proven to me that he is second coming as alot of gator fans think, i watched the game saturday and i saw alot good things from him but also alot of things that need improvement, as for miami, i didnt get to see the game cause it wasnt televised here, but they said the running game looked good, but the defense had some weaknesses so we'll see next week vs oklahoma, dunno if the gators are as good some think, dunno if miami is any good either, we'll see in a few weeks after some challenging games, but according to jacob we dont have a tough team on our schedule (hehe)

 

I would love to see Florida get a huge B.S. call like Miami got against Ohio State to cost them the championship. The same way they say we are living in the past, the gator fans wont let anyone forget about it. But what many people don't understand is that nobody likes Miami. We got screwed over when they sent FSU to the big game instead of us, we should you how good we were when we bitch slapped Nebraska, then got screwed over after the game was over with a horrible call. People say why do we live on the past? Well the reason we live on the past is because other fans look at the "U" like the team of the past. Oh the criminals, the cons, the thugs, etc. Yet when we bring up a past game or past championships we get "why do you guys live in the past?" Question is why do you guys see our team as the team of the past? Yes we had a large fight against FIU, and within minutes broadcasters and journalists are wondering whether the UM program should be shut-down. Are you ******* kidding me? Did you guys forget the Clemson, SC fight back in 2004? I never saw anybody saying that both teams should dis-continue their programs. Ok the university of miami has a past of being the outlaws of the ncaa, but guess what its those outlaws in the past that people feared to play. People bring up the UM player swinging his helmet and hitting people, what about the Clemson player who was caught by photo giving a kick to the head of a SC player who was laying face down with his hands on top of his head?

Florida fans are all about oh how great Tebow is. Yet do many of them realize Miami recruited the player that broke Tebows records? 5 Star Recruit, of course yea we got one hes a running back by the name of Graig Cooper. Yes Miami hasn't had the best seasons lately, but Florida wasn't perfect either before last year. Coach Shannon is going to re-shape the Miami program, he lives and breathes Miami. The program is going to go back to greatness over-night, but it will return to the top. Then we'll see what everyone has to cry about.

i seen on espn someone was pickin miami to upset oklahoma, lets keep our fingers crossed!!!!!!! number 5 got knocked off last week, maybe number five gets knocked off this week

 

21-10 halftime.....damn kirby freeman sux.kyle wright came in and handle business and that's surprising.defense settled down i hope we continue the momentum into the second half

 

we suck!, kirby sucks!, play kyle wright so at least we are half way damn competitive, and then they pull kyle wright, WTF!, poor defense is just tired cause kirby keeps givin'em the damn ball back, i just hope we beat FSU, the rest of the season is a wash!

 

why did they pull kyle? look at it like at this, at least we don't play our first acc game till 5 and we could be 2-2 at that point but 0-0 in the conference.other teams in our conference are knocking each other out.i wanted us to be competitive in this game which we were but our offense doesn't give our defense any help

 

I was hoping for a win, but wouldn't have been suprised with a loss. And i mean a "loss", not that *** kicking we just recieved. I know Shannon is going to give those guys hell on monday. I agree i don't understand why Kyle was taken out, we actually moved the ball a bit better. Hopefully they can get their act together, and take it out on FIU next week.

they pulled kyle cause they're stupid, off cord patrick nix is a f*&kin' moron, miami does not good enough db's to play man on good receivers, play some zone, blitz a little more, and give kyle the damn ball

 

when miami stopped playing man coverage,our defense was making stops.idk still a young season and alot left to play for

 

not what i expected for sure. i dont really like OU but i do like their coach!
