X2 for the guys at Masport. Dan, Erik, and Josh are some of the nicest people in the aftermarket installation and tuning industry.

Thanks man, we enjoyed having you two at the shop! Come by anytime. We also appreciate the props.

Another vote for Formato. I've seen him tune many a car and truck and always makes sure the job is done right. He's tuned my Formula and GMC and I've had great success on both.

You also have Rev Xtreme in the Bradenton area.

Really? They did a horrible tune on my car after they installed my cam (August 2006). I seriously wonder if they even tuned it at all, because I only gained 2hp! Then I took the car to Jeremy Formato and with no other changes he found another 27hp, better drivability, and better fuel economy.

Now that I live in the Panhandle I have John Weeks from xXx Motorsports in Pensacola tune my car.

Aug 06 would have been the tuner after we let Formato go.....and he did not last long either. Did you contact us to complain? If so we always make it right.....but have no way to if the customer does not give us the chance. No one better than what we have now.

ALOT of competition out there now. That last statement is VERY hard to claim. The other tuners here in Fla deserve more respect.

And don't forget that not all tuners sponsor this site, and therefore can not be discussed.

ND4SPD _SS 04-10-2008 09:34 PM

not talking about the ones that are not sponsors.I don't know them.

kwiksilverz28 04-10-2008 09:54 PM

I understand that. My point was that there are many tuners out there. Just because they are a "sponsor" does not make them good, nor does the fact that they are not a sponsor make them not as good if not better.

can anyone suggest a good tuner for f/i????

Villain281H 04-10-2008 10:06 PM

I'd think any of the tuners mentioned in this thread can do forced induction set-ups.

Go back through this thread a bit more carefully. This might have been suggested already.

Unfortunately no I didn't complain. At the time I didn't know if the tune was to blame or not, so I thought I'd give another well known tuner a shot at it and see what happened. (My dad had the work done for me because I was living in Germany and I came into town to pick the car up in the middle of my move) I was in a rush for time because i was moving to the panhandle and Jeremy was available on the weekend and short notice. Had I had more time I would have given you another shot it it. I don't make a habit of talking bad about RevXtreme because I realize I didn't give you a chance to fix it. FWIW, the install of the cam, valvetrain, oil pump, and suspension components I had you install was top-notch. I'm glad to hear that tuner doesn't work there anymore.
