[PRESS RELEASE] Cool down with Katech Performance Gen 4 LS Piston Squirters FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE McCullough Public Relations 330.244.9980 COOL DOWN WITH KATECH PERFORMANCE GEN 4 LS PISTON SQUIRTERS http://www.katechengines.com/street_...ith%20logo.jpg CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Overheated pistons can be detrimental in high output racing applications, which is why Katech Performance has introduced its new Gen 4 LS Piston Squirters – piston cooling jets that target oil at the underside of the piston to lower temperatures and improve piston life. Developed for Katech’s “Track Attack” LS7 engine, the Piston Squirter uses a pressure-actuated check valve to minimize oil flow through the jet at idle and maintain adequate engine oil pressure. The product is ideal for high output, high temperature applications: racing vehicles, engines with dry sump systems, and supercharged or turbocharged applications. “Piston squirters have been utilized in racing for years to keep engines in optimal running condition,” said Caleb Newman, vice president, director aftermarket operations, Katech Performance. “Katech’s Gen 4 LS Piston Squirters offer amateur and professional racers using the LS7 – or any Gen 4 GM V8 – additional peace of mind and security for engine durability.” The Piston Squirter is designed to fit with production LS7 titanium rods without modification, except for the machining required to install the squirters and piston skirt notching (depending on the piston). Because some engines may require additional oil pump capacity to supply the volume and pressure needed for the squirters, a different oil pressure pump may be required. Katech supplies a machining print with this product and also offers machining services to install the Piston Squirters into any Gen 4 General Motors V8 (LS2, LS3 and LS7). Actually I think they're quite reasonable considering they are a CNC machined part with hand-bent tubing then silver soldered individually. The price is $50 each. |
well thats sucks you cant use it on the lsx block. |
What's involved in fitting ? |
