Another vote for Harlan

SuperZ 11-06-2008 04:29 PM

MM is well known and cars have been talked about plenty

Slow Z28 11-06-2008 04:58 PM

1. Harlan - "grandfather" of FI for an LS1 car so to speak
2. Ohio Boys - showing us what you can do with flipped truck manifolds on that LT1 body formula
3. kp - PSJ's opposite:) and showing just how fast you can go if you stick with a combo and really get it sorted out and keep on improving it.

Rickys S/C Z28 11-12-2008 09:49 AM

Kp gets my volt

6techniques 11-14-2008 03:50 PM

I would have to say Harlan as well. But KP is a close second!

Another vote for Jim Moran.

FastBlackTA 11-26-2008 01:52 PM

I'm not an FI guy really, but my vote would be for Harlan. I remember seeing his car at the Thunder shootout in 2004, and was really impressed with what the he and the Stenod crew had accomplished.

kp for building a setup and sticking with it, and becoming one of the fastest (or close to it) supercharged cars in the LS1 world.

GoldRust 11-30-2008 08:09 AM

I would have to through in that one guy who put the first stock suspended ls1 in the sevens. And has never been out run by another ls1. :secret: Otherwise Matt would get my vote, but I am better looking.

Worm Boy 12-04-2008 06:28 PM

Yea Worms car made me build my car! I say Worm Boy should be on the list!

Rickys S/C Z28 12-05-2008 07:09 AM

yep worm boy should be there also

Rob Valden 12-06-2008 11:56 PM

id have to say that, Goldrust should be up there, seeing he has the fastest shit in the land, and on top of that just put my car in as the 3rd fastest Limited Street car in the world. I dont think we have been out run in the LS1 world, and belive he has set and re-set every record in the LS1 world. Has also won every LS1 event they have attended and not been out run! he gets my vote!

Those guys have all really done well, but who inspired them? I was making 500rwhp on turbo without tuning software or a wideband back in 2000. Blowing shit up a lot too :D

Harlan for going from the "Never... ever... hit the brakes on the dyno" stage, to dragging the Y-pipe from Electric stick all the way over to Noone-Eric's house, to sleeping in the pits before a low 9s pass at Stanton, to building an engine in his appt kitchen, to getting caught spooning with his turbo and surviving the pictures on the internet, to the double dribble bounce pass at Norwalk to... well you get the idea. Lots of good times and lots of good passes and still manages to help out a lot of people along the way. The best is yet to come though at some point. :D
