Im trying to find a car and we are going to do a complete build around one of these kits shortly as well. Ill get a thread going and hopefully we can keep power steering, ac, everything on there and planning on doing either a master power 70 or 76mm turbo

You can keep everything, you just need your own power steering lines and I'm not sure whats the deal with the ac lines if you stand the radiator up

Okay....so, after seeing this thread, I now have "Terminal Wood"

I've been looking online for the past 1 1/2 weeks to try and find pictures of this kit installed, but your pics are the only ones I've seen. Any chance you could post pics of the turbo installed?? My only concerns are 1) Keeping all accessories, and 2) room to upgrade from a t76 to a larger unit once my 6.0 stroker is built.

Thanks....and SWEET RIDE!

Okay...so I just found the pics of the turbo installed (not sure how I missed them)...but it looks like you had to get rid of the a/c condenser?? Maybe I'm just not seeing it correctly?? And cooling fans....any room for them?

Sorry for all the questions...I just really want to do this....and have already started the mods for the intercooler and misc...just REALLY hoping to keep all of the accessories.

You can keep the a/c, I just don't use it so I got rid of it. I just stood up the radiator, monello left his in place along with the condenser. You do have to move the alternator up top and get a bracket, new belt, and make your own power steering lines.

[QUOTE=98Camarod;11246344]Nothing to the bottom, I just have the downpipe dumped. No exhaust running from it. Too much of a pain in the *** to try and do that on the ground. I have some old pics, but it looks pretty much the same. Its a cluster **** on the drivers side, the streering shaft was fun. And you are going to have to make your own power steering lines, thats about 120 bucks for all the appropriate fittings and the line.

What mods (if any) did you have to make to the steering shaft? I'm curious as to what I have to look forward to. I'm going to be putting everything together out of the car on a tubular kframe first with the engine trans bolted together.

Any pointers that you might have here would be welcome.

Thanks!

^no mods to the steering shaft, just make sure you put solid mounts in now while you have the k member dropped to drill and tap the oil pan. IIRC, you want to shimmy in the downpipe while the steering shaft is out and then put the steering shaft back in

I'm a bit concerned with using solid mounts on my car, as i would like to be able to use it as a "grocery-getter" as well as a long range cruising vehicle. I'm afraid that the solid mounting might increase interior resonance to annoying levels on long trips. I'm also wanting to use a tubular k-frame (primarily for exhaust routing clearance) and am finding that they all seem to have integrated mount pillars that make use of the OE style mount pads. I also realize, however, that oe style mounts (or poly) might not care too much for the heat from the exhaust running so close to it on the driver side.

Speaking from your own experience, how "bad" are the solid mounts with regard to increasing interior noise?? Are they really the only or "best" solution?

Thanks. Oh...and how's the tuning going??
