Any worry's with stock intake?

I was wondering if there is any worry about the stock intake manifold essentially blowing up under a lot of boost. I would think at some point with the heat of the engine and a lot of boost this would become a problem, but maybe not.

well derek with the intake being plastic i dont ever seeing heat soak being a problem. if you are saying the plastic isnt strong enough, i doubt it as the total cfm and the total resistence (psi) will never be to the point of pushing the intake to its breaking point, atlest not before the block breaks. :)

but i have heard in the fast and the furious, you can loose the welds and rivets under the car.

i have pegged the other side of zero with mine before, and its off now and none the worse for wear. easily 25psi.

i believe gm tested it to 80psi
