Default Best turbo (largest) plus BEST Price for 347CI

Hello,
I am new to forced induction.
I have a 347CI LS1 that I will be installing a forged bottom end on.

What is the most powerful turbo I can use on this engine?
Thinking 76 or 78MM. I am thinking Turbonetic T76 or TC78.
I was told that even with these turbos I dont want to push over
700RWHP due to backpressure.

Can anyone tell me who has a great deal on a turbo head unit?

Any wholesale or group buys?

im also looking to do a 347 with a turbo. i was thinking about a tc78 but i dont know if that will be quite enough, and i think the pt88 might be a tad to big and laggy. im looking to spend around 1k on a turbo, also my car will weigh a max of 3200 lbs. ill have a 4l60e. whats a dam good turbo thats bigger and is as advanced as the tc78 but not as big as a pt88

I would get a borg warner unit. S475, 600 bucks, capable of 950 or 1000hp. http://www.forcedinductions.com/productsborgwarner.htm

Dadkins on here is using an S372 on his GTO and making 825+ to the tires with a stock LQ9 long block.

A PTE 76gts will make more power then a tc76-78 and still spool nice. They are alittle bit more expensive as well.

You will not beat the spool up characteristics, compact size, price, and power potential of the TC76 or TC78. They are perfect fits for 347-370 cube LSx based engines. I have persoanly pushed these turbos to thier limits. Been 9.70's with a TC76 370 combo. Same car later made it to the 9.20's using the same TC76 370 combo.

The TC series of turbos are rated for 3" Down Pipes. I never had back pressure issues with my setup.
