Which car? Do you have a lot of boost on tap you are currently not running? An A2W really shines for drag if you have a water tank you can keep filled with ice and keep your IATs sub-ambient. Big boost, less chance of detonation.

^^^^sometimes searches tend to be too broad but the positives would be back to back runs and like mentioned sub-ambient IAT's if you run ice in it. How much HP do you plan on running on the dragstrip?

A2A if it's street car. A2W for drag only car.

I agree on the search issue. Not the best sometimes.

People who say do a search, at least post a link to help.

I got my A2W off of ebay for pretty cheap, I think for around $250, like 2 years ago. It's one from a twin turbo c5 corvette. You'll still be able to run an A2W on the street without any problems, granted you have a heat exchanger and good pump to move the water, you just won't see the super cold IAT's that you would packing it with ice at the track. If weights a factor in your car, it might not be for you, because it does add alot more weight with the A2W setup. I've got a 5 gallon tank in the spare tire area, the big intercooler sitting up front, plus the pump, lines and a heat exchanger. The A2A is simpler, cheaper, and lighter. They've both got there pro's and cons, I guess.

How is the quality of the ebay stuff? Got any pics? We were thinking about a A2W kit off there.

It just acts as a "radiator" to cool down the water for the intercooler. It does just what the name says... exchanges heat.

so you cant just fill the water tank with ice water and pump it straight to the intercooler?
