Which cam is better choice L92 6.0 turbo grind
I've got 2 cams on the shelf right now....which one of these would make a better turbo grind for my build? Here are my motor specifics....
2007 LY6 6.0 Iron block motor
Unported stock L92 / LS3 heads
Front mount 75-80mm turbo (haven't picked turbo yet)
9.5:1 compression
L76 Intake / 90mm throttle body
Truck exhaust manifolds
A2A intercooler
4l80E trans with 2300 stall
3.31 rear gear
27" rear tire
3500lb chevelle
trying to keep the car as streetable and cruisable as possible, car dose'nt have much stall, and is running a 3.31 gear in the rear. Only shooting to knock down 600-650 RWHP. Here are the 2 cams i have on the shelf right now..
1) Stock 2003 Z06 Cam
2) Custom grind 218-224 @ .050
.561 .561 Lift
114 LSA
3) Any suggestions?
If the bigger 218-224 cam does make more power, will it be a noticable gain to justify the much larger duration and tighter LSA, or would I be better off just sticking to the proven Z06 Cam. Which cam would provide a better bottom end, given my small stall converter and 3.31 gears. I haven't heard anyones review of how the Z06 cam performs with l92 heads in a boosted application.
Thanks for the input guys!

Anyone? I know the debate over cam selection is pretty beat to death, but if you've got a opinion between these 2 cams, share it! Im ready to stab on of them in there and button this motor up for install.....
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was leaning towards the z06 cam also, as its a known quantity when boosting. I wasn't sure how well it would work with l92 heads though, since they have drastically larger intake ports and intake-exhaust flow rates compared to a 243 or 317 head. Is there a cam you personally have experience with you feel would fit the bill better, considering my power goals and drivability concerns? Im not opposed to having another cam ground, would rather get it right the first time around if I can. Thanks again for the input, im all ears

Ling ran the gt2-3 in a lot of their FI builds for years..different size engines..
Now pretty sure gt-7 is the main one they run. I run it with 1.8s for more lift.
The second cam is going to give more lope but nothing very extreme. Do you want lope?
02-03 ZO6 cam: 204/218 .551/.547 -117.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 –118.5CL
05-07 ZO6 cam 210/230 .561/.557 –120.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL
Or as said you can go custom.I think if was getting one done for my 408 would go something like 236/240 600/600 and 116 or 117 lsa. With 1.7. Don't want to go over 600 lift on my 1.8s even though run 650 lift springs. Like lots of headroom under boost since boost can give valve float when lift and spring capacity gets too close.
