Think I'll need an oil drainback pump??

Getting close on a project here. I have the turbo (88mm Garrett) mounted right in front of the water pump and the height difference between the turbo drain outlet and the drain bung in the oil pan is roughly 8". I am running 12AN line for the drain but it obviously doesnt go straight down, but has to dodge obsticles along the way. Trying to figure out if Im gonna need to plumb in a pump or if it will drain okay on its own.

Thoughts?

I think you should be fine. Mightymouse's turbo is just barely above (so he told me) and hasn't had issue. the -12 is a good idea though

Well Im gonna give it a shot then. The drain in the pan is above the oil level so I guess Ill run it and if it has issues, Ill add the pump later.

As long as the drain fitting is above the oil pan you are golden. No worries Bro.

I'll have my turbo drain only 2-3" above oil pan, do I have to put dedicated pump?
