Default Where do you drain oil on front-mounts? Pics please

As title says, where do you drain oil from turbo? On the builds I see (with truck manifolds) turbos sit way too low for the gravity drain, do they all use dedicated drain pumps?
Please post pics of your setups

Anyone?
Is it possible to drain into the front of the oil pan? Has anyone done this? I think it's too "shallow", only about 15-20mm, but maybe it's still possible?

Here is mine. I had a second hole because that was the first one I drilled and tapped and the drain hose they gave me was too short. So that was the cheapest option:

I honestly don't like the angle at which pipe will run if I had to put it that far from the front...

My drain line is straight in line with the pan and has about 1.5" fall

Yes I meant drain line... So fitting in oil pan is only 1.5" lower than outlet of the turbo, and you don't have any problems? Like smoke or smth.?

Here is mine in the front cover. Works great with no issues. Nice downward slope.

it is a good ideal to drop the pan when you want to drill it. but is is allot of work and most people just use bearing grease on the drill bit to catch most of the shavings.

I'm going to use a Tilton pump and return my oil through the valley cover.

The oil drain plug hole is not a really a good location for a gravity drain.
The oil that drains from the turbo will be a little frothy, so it is best to let it fall into the engine oil so the air bubbles work themselves out.
I would not want the drain near the pickup if I could avoid it.
You need the turbo drain to be ABOVE the oil level in the pan in order for a gravity drain to work. I have my drains in the front cover similar to vee8.
If you go in the side of the pan, try to stay inline with the main caps so that the oil being thrown off the crank at high RPM does not try to make its way into the drain line.
The best location usually becomes a compromise based on your particular setup.
Just grab a section of -10 and use it to eyeball the best location that will not interfere with your existing accessories.
Good luck!

Where mine is located is above the oil level. I made sure of that, but my turbo location pretty much limits me to this area. Everything else is too high.

If my turbo was higher up, the front cover is a better option, much easier to take off to drill and tap it rather than the pan.

I've seen it done there. You seem set on putting it there for some reason so go ahead and do it. There isn't much room for error with the large fitting for the -10 line.

You might be right, but the reason is elementary - with let's say 4 inches horizontally between turbo drain and front pan, and 2" vertically, there is good downward slope. Now if you drain oil not 4" away but 12-15" (in the side of the pan), with the same vertical 2" of difference, it becomes almost parallel to the ground
